The Power of Seeing — Allah Sees Every Step
All praise is due to Allah, the One who sees all that is open and all that is hidden. He is the Ever-Watchful, the All-Seeing. We praise Him, we rely on Him, and we turn to Him with hearts full of awareness and love. We testify that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad ﷺ is His servant and final Messenger.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Today’s khutbah is about a truth that gives both comfort and caution: Allah sees everything. He is Al-Baseer — The All-Seeing. No action is missed, no injustice is hidden, and no tear goes unnoticed. He sees you when you’re strong and when you’re struggling, when you’re standing tall and when you’re falling low.

Nothing Is Hidden from the Sight of Allah
Allah’s sight is not like human sight. Our eyes get tired. Our vision is limited by distance, darkness, and barriers. But Allah’s vision is perfect, complete, and eternal.
“Indeed, Allah is ever, over all things, Seeing.”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:58)
He sees the stars in the sky and the ants under the ground. He sees the injustice done in secret and the patience of the one who endures it in silence.
He sees the person giving quietly in charity, and the one hiding their tears in prayer.
You are never invisible to Allah.
Your Good Deeds Are Seen and Never Forgotten
Sometimes we do good things and no one notices. We help someone quietly, we forgive when we could have hurt back, we pray when no one is watching.
And sometimes we wonder, “Does it matter? Did anyone see?”
Yes — Allah saw.
“And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants.”
(Surah Ghafir 40:44)
Even a small good deed — a smile, a kind word, a hidden dua — is seen by the One who never forgets and always rewards.
“So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.”
(Surah Az-Zalzalah 99:7)
SubhanAllah — even a mustard seed of good is recorded and rewarded!
He Sees You When You’re Struggling
When life gets heavy, when your heart feels tired, and when you’re trying your best but no one understands — remember, Allah sees your struggle.
He sees your fight against sin.
He sees your patience when tested.
He sees your late-night tears.
He sees you walking toward Him, even if you’re limping.
“Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.”
(Surah Hud 11:61)
This is the beauty of knowing that Al-Baseer sees — you don’t need to explain everything to people. Allah already knows.
And He Sees When We Slip
Just as Allah sees our goodness, He also sees when we do wrong. When we cheat, lie, hurt others, or cross limits — even in private — nothing is hidden from Him.
“He knows the treachery of the eyes and what the hearts conceal.”
(Surah Ghafir 40:19)
This is a reminder to fear Allah in secret just as we do in public. Because there is no private in the sight of Allah.
If we remember that Allah sees every step, every click, every word — then we will be more careful. We will strive to be sincere.
Live with Ihsan — As If You See Him
The Prophet ﷺ taught us the meaning of excellence in worship — ihsan:
“That you worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, then know that He sees you.”
(Hadith Jibreel – Bukhari and Muslim)
When you pray, remember: Allah is watching.
When you speak, remember: Allah is listening.
When you act, remember: Allah is seeing.
This mindset doesn’t make us fearful in a negative way — it makes us better, more aware, more sincere. We live with honor because we are always seen by the One who matters most.
The Most Beautiful Vision: To See Allah
While we speak about how Allah sees us, the greatest reward for the believers is that we will one day see Him.
“Some faces that Day will be radiant, looking at their Lord.”
(Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:22–23)
What could be greater than that? After a lifetime of worship, prayer, struggle, and hope — to look upon the face of your Creator.
And this reward is for those who live as if Allah is watching — because they know He always was.
Conclusion: You Are Always Seen and Always Loved
Dear brothers and sisters,
You are never lost in a crowd. You are never too far. You are never forgotten.
Al-Baseer sees you. Every effort. Every mistake followed by repentance. Every quiet prayer. Every moment of faith.
Let His sight make you more sincere, more careful, more grateful — and more hopeful.
“Indeed, Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:1)
May Allah help us live with ihsan, forgive our hidden faults, bless our hidden deeds, and allow us one day to see His blessed face in Paradise.
Ameen.
